4. In the right pane, click the right mouse button on UpperFilters , and then click Delete .
5. Choose Yes to confirm the removal of the registry entry UpperFilters.
6. In the right pane, click the right mouse button LowerFilters, and then click Delete.
7. Click Yes to confirm the removal of the registry entry LowerFilters.
8. Close the registry editor and restart the computer.
Here is the procedure for XP:
1. Click Start, click Run , type regedit and click OK .
2. Locate and select the following subkey in the registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \\ SYSTEM \\ CurrentControlSet \\ Control \\ Class \\ {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318} .
3. Verify that the Default data value is DVD / CD-ROM and the Class data value is CDROM.
4. In the right pane, click the right mouse button on UpperFilters , then click Delete .
5. Choose Yes to confirm the removal of the registry entry UpperFilters.
6. In the right pane, click the right mouse button on LowerFilters , and then click Delete (voice LowerFilters may not be present in this case, skip steps 6 and 7).
7. Choose Yes to confirm the removal of the registry entry LowerFilters.
8. Close the Registry Editor and restart your computer.
