Get Rid Of School Sores

The 11 best discs of 2010 in my

Like any self-respecting music blog, here is my personal ranking of the 11 best albums of 2010, because its 11? because I tried and tried to pull out qualuno but nothing, I could not, were all important.
This post, in addition to being a great classic for music blogs, is also a small ' complaint' made by a few loyal listeners of the blog (mitici!) which I have pointed out the lack of recent albums.
Needless to say, the assessment is subjective and is based only on the albums I've heard, of course, not all. Here are the rankings:

11) Caribou: Swim (electronic)
Summer at sea, dive into the water, before that feeling back, muffled voices, sounds, models, low ' liquids', want to swim. Hard disk, it should be heard and heard again, the soundtrack of a summer.

10) The Tallest Man On Earth : Wild Hunt (folk)
Cantatutore at times melancholy and at times full of life, not bored, not sad, beautiful melodies, beautiful interecci, sounds familiar. What we care about originality, that we care about Bob Dylan, I'll dream, I want to sing.

9) Spoon : Transference (indie rock) Oh
's Spoon because they are undervalued! Disco certainly more difficult than before, certainly not a love at first hearing, sounds that seem sharp, the tunes are the verses choruses and verses. Also highly appreciated the stylistic variations, the changes from one song to another gender.

8) Jonsi : Go (indie rock, post rock, pop)
Jonsi emerges a sparkling and spring during Throughout the first part of the disc while in the second, you are dreamy and dreamlike space, in full Sigur Ros style. Disc
sometimes pop post-rock, very diverse. There are however a few drops of style, they do seem, in some parts, the hard little inspired.

7) The National : High There olet (indie rock)
The previous record, 'Boxer' we liked, and how. Here the atmosphere is more relaxed in some ways, melancholy is the master and there is space for contemplation, for the emotions.
orchestral accompaniment, progressions solemn, velvety voice and a sense that, for any misstep, we can move from love to experience the depths of despair.

6) Foals: Total life forever ( indie rock, math rock)
I take the Foals Talking Heads, mix them with the Rapture and depict all using a mathematical equation.
Ok, maybe this was before, now are also able to move and to look inside, doing always take the time with his feet. Excellent development definitely toward a more mature sound.

5) Menomena: Mines (indie rock, pop, alt-rock) pop
That you do not expect that you will remain in mind for a long, and that you are sick overwhelms you at the same time. Disoriented, do not give you points of reference, if not occasionally the TV on the Radio. Perhaps the only real flaw is that there is one kind, for this is at times disorganized. A special praise goes to the fact that bassist, in each piece, he takes it personally.

4) The Arcade Fire: The Suburbs (indie rock) The acclaimed Arcade Fire
churn out hits one after another without respite. But we are far from "Funeral", I can not find the need to comment that struck me with the first two works, the immediacy and, perhaps, the low-fi that I had been hit in previous albums. For charity, great record, but I expected something more from them, the main flaw is the length that does take over the tedium.

3) Two Doors Cinema Club History Toourist
(electro pop, indie pop, indie)
you hear a record so young cool since the debut of the Artic Monkey, you can not stand still, you move like that, without realizing it. The quality of every single song is high, the sounds are manicured, young, modern, songs, perfect for parties. Incredible how much individuals could get out of this CD (almost all).

2) LCD Soundsystem: This Is Happening
(funk, electronic, pop)
At first listen do not like, he needs time, is a constant and inevitable crescendo . Disco dancing that is, takes up and reworks some ways to make music 80 years, without realizing the municipality, all seasoned rhythms ' ballerecci '.
When I found out that we broke up I was a shit.

2 tie ) The Black Keys: Brothers
(garage rock, soul, R & B) I love this
hard, I love him deeply. It made me sing out loud in the car at night, moving to music, enjoy and dream. Simple but hard impact, long but that is not boring. He does not deserve the top because I would not be objective, the disc is simple and follows patterns rather trivial; the fact remains that an album is rich and that does not fall in the discount.

1 ) Vampire weekend: Contra
(indie rock, pop)
It may be that they, they do not mistake a song. Disc-based light-heartedness, the desire not to become adults, dancing and fun to the sound of tribal rhythms, reggae, Caribbean peoples. Damn infectious, they transmit joy. They manage to make me see the sky less gray, this is enough to be on top.
